The Coach: your helper inside omotto
The Coach is a helper inside omotto, for you and your team. You write to it in your own words, like a message to a colleague, and it answers.
The Coach is not the chatbot that answers your customers. Your customers never talk to the Coach. It is there to help you set up and run the chatbot.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”- The Open Coach button floats in the corner of the screen on most pages. Click it to open the conversation.
- In the Inbox, the button moves next to the message box so it does not cover anything.
- On a phone, the button hides while the keyboard is open. Tap the + next to the message box and choose the Coach row.
- Under a bot reply in a conversation, Ask the Coach about this reply lets you ask about that one answer.
The first time you open it, the Coach introduces itself and offers to help you set up your bot.
What people use it for
Section titled “What people use it for”People ask the Coach to:
- Look at their setup. For example, “What is still missing before the bot can answer on WhatsApp?” or “What can you help me with?”
- Explain a conversation. For example, “Why did the bot answer that?” Point it at a reply and ask.
- Teach the bot something. Tell it a fact about your business, such as opening hours, a delivery rule or what to say about a product. See what the bot knows.
- Change how the bot works or talks. For example, “Make the bot more formal.”
- Understand a setting or a step, such as the connection steps in connecting WhatsApp or message templates.
You stay in charge
Section titled “You stay in charge”When the Coach wants to change what the bot knows or how it is set up, it shows you a suggestion card first. You read it and choose to accept or dismiss it. For changes to what the bot knows or how it is set up, nothing changes until you accept. Whether you can accept a change depends on your permissions in the workspace, so a team member who cannot edit settings cannot apply a settings change.
The Coach also tells you when it has learned something from your conversations that is worth keeping, with a note such as “I learned something, need your OK”. You decide whether to keep it. Those suggestions are part of the same review idea, and importing past chats can produce them too. See connecting WhatsApp and importing knowledge.
What you still do yourself
Section titled “What you still do yourself”The Coach cannot log in to Meta or Facebook for you. It cannot receive or type in your verification codes or PIN, and it cannot add or pay with your payment card. Those steps happen in Meta’s own screens, and you do them. The Coach can explain what you see and what comes next. If something goes wrong while connecting, see fixing connection problems.
Do not paste passwords, codes, PINs or card numbers into the Coach.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- What the Coach can actually do depends on what is switched on for your business and on your permissions. If it says it cannot do something, trust that answer over any guide.
- Ask in plain words. You do not need special commands.
